Borrowing

The Southgate Library offers reciprocity to cardholders from communities which give borrowing privileges to Southgate residents.  A library card is required.  Library cards are free, but proof of residency must be presented.  Borrowing privileges are suspended if fines rise above $15.00.

Loan periods and renewals

Adult Books:  3 week loan; renewal for 3 weeks (if there are no requests outstanding)

Juvenile books:  $.05 / day; renewal for 3 wks (if there are no requests outstanding)

Videos:  1 week loan; no renewal

Music cd's:  1 week loan; renewal for one week (if there are no requests outstanding)

Notices

Overdue notices are sent out at 21 days.  Items not returned in 45 days are sent to collection.

Fines & charges

Books, magazines: $.10 / day each

Videos, computer games and software: $1.00 / day each

Music cd's:  $.10 / day each
